The past 18 months have seen big things for us at Chalk & Ward Advertising. We’ve had new faces joining our lovely team (have a look at our team page if you haven’t met them yet), staff moving on to travel the world and multiple client wins which means we’ve welcomed some exciting new businesses into our portfolio.
But perhaps the biggest change for us as a team was surprisingly not Robert’s major birthday last year (no numbers mentioned), but the office move from the beautiful old building down on Exeter Quay to the equally old but not-quite-as-beautiful building we have now inhabited in Southernhay.
18 Southernhay East was always a looker on the outside with its huge Georgian pillars and beautiful balcony but unfortunately, inside was a different story. That did not, however, deter Robert and Giles from seeing its wonderful potential.
So in March last year, after months of hard work, Chalk & Ward left behind the picturesque quay and sadly the pub directly below the office and we moved into our new home which had been completely redesigned.
As most of you will now know, the interior of this building is now a match for the exterior. But not content with the large glass panels throughout the building, rustic wooden floors which creak every time you step on them and ancient doors found the basement which now adorn our walls, 18 months later, Robert and Giles wanted a change.
So here we are, in the midst of moving things around at C&W headquarters again. Being a creative crowd, not only do we want to work in a creative place, we also want our clients to get a glimpse of how a great environment can inspire so many ideas.
We can’t possibly tell you what’s in store yet but here are a few teaser pictures and if you’ve been to the office lately, you will already have seen some visible changes.
Watch this space to see the office when it’s finished or better still, come in and have a look!
