The Client

Mole Valley Farmers is the country’s largest agricultural supplier. Adhering closely to their farming co-operative roots, they provide genuine, passionate support to the agricultural and rural community by offering a wide range of services including feed, forage, retail, nutrition and health support. Chalk & Ward Advertising has worked closely with Mole Valley Farmers over the last 12 years to help grow the business from £50m turnover, to in excess of £500m. Much of this growth has come from innovative initiatives like MoleEnergy, a dedicated Renewable Energy division offering the rural community genuine, impartial advice.

The Challenge

We were briefed by Mole Valley Farmers to devise a name, brand, promotional campaign and full suite of material to launch this unique proposition. Their energy advice service covers; solar power, woodchip, ground source and wind power. Helping the rural community not only generate their own energy, but also diversify their resources.

Promotion to the agricultural community included devising an on-farm working demonstration site where farmers can experience the various forms of renewable energy in-situ. This was then supported by a heavily content driven website, complete suite of visual material, including folders, brochures, stationary and leaflets, as well as, a comprehensively designed exhibition stand.

The MoleEnergy division of Mole Valley Farmers has grown significantly since its induction and has developed to become one of the country’s leading advisory services for renewable energy to the farming community. Year on year it continues to grow and offer cost-effective solutions helping support a sustainable countryside.
