DS Smith Plc are an international recycled packaging company, trading in; Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United State of America.

They aim to practice what they preach by recycling 100% of what they use, whether it’s a cup or box everything is recycled and car

With a turnover of £2 billion and employing more than 20,000 people DS Smith Plc required strict brand guidelines to distribute throughout their company in a number of translations and asked Chalk & Ward Advertising to execute all their global brand guidelines. The guidelines included logos, stationery, livery, uniforms and more. They had to incorporate everything DS Smith Plc employees might require as well as ensuring the brand is consistent globally. The brand has strong colours of blues, oranges and white with bold sweeping curves and crisp finishing, this branding stands out amongst competitors – when you see the livery on the motorway, you recognise it immediately!  This brand strength highlights the importance of ensuring that it is translated globally.

The project took 6 months of intensive work but with an impressive, consistent result.
