ABOUT THE JOB

The PPC Manager will be responsible for implementing a range of day-to-day PPC and social media advertising activities including account management, campaign auditing and implementation. The role is client facing, across different sectors, and requires the ability to create new strategies, challenge existing ones and implement recommendations going forward. The position also involves collaboration and working with the digital and wider agency teams to deliver excellent customer service and drive growth.

As our PPC Manager, you will take control and drive the PPC strategy forward, not just for clients but Chalk+Ward as well, whilst delivering against agreed objectives and KPIs.

The position would suit someone with several years of PPC experience under their belt and a strong understanding of the online advertising industry. You are able to keep up-to-date on the latest trends and developments and can manage a portfolio of clients, contribute effectively to meetings, and manage the accounts individually, with support from the digital team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing own set of PPC clients with full responsibility for client servicing and account growth
  • Implement, optimise and grow campaigns on Google, Bing Ad platforms as well as social media channels
  • Undertake in-depth audits of ad campaigns
  • Compose PPC and ad proposals and strategies and execute delivery
  • Be Chalk+Ward’s PPC champion ensuring directors/staff and clients understand how PPC activity is performing as well as continually educating on PPC best practice
  • Monitor and report on-site health and performance against KPIs
  • Monitor and analyse data to identify issues and opportunities, as well as assessing competitor activity
  • Lead internal training sessions and be comfortable presenting findings and recommendations internally and to clients
  • Create strategies
  • Keep up to date on PPC industry updates, guidelines, and technologies to maintain best practice across all activities

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • PPC management experience (client or agency side)
  • Knowledge of PPC marketing channels
    • Google, Microsoft, Social
  • Commercial thinking for clients and for Chalk + Ward
  • Ability to multi-task clients and deadlines
  • Experience in providing the best in client servicing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of budgets and forecasts
  • Computer literate (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to lead client meetings
  • Full driving licence
  • Genuine desire to be a part of our team

 

The following experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided:

  • Any reputable PPC Certification outside of Google Digital Garage
  • Knowledge of all Affiliate, Remarketing and latest PPC opportunities

    • Experience or understanding of the hospitality sector beneficial but not essential

  • Can-do attitude with an ability to hit the ground running
  • Stays calm under pressure
