ABOUT THE JOB

The SEO Manager will be responsible for implementing a range of day-to-day SEO activities including account management, auditing and implementation. The role is client facing, across different sectors, and requires the ability to create new strategies, challenge existing strategies and implement recommendations going forward. The position also involves collaboration and working with the digital and wider agency teams to deliver excellent customer service and drive growth.

As our SEO Manager, you will take control and drive the SEO strategy forward, not just for our clients but for Chalk + Ward as well, whilst delivering against agreed objectives and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio of SEO clients with full responsibility for client servicing and account growth
  • Implement technical and keyword focused SEO
  • Undertake in-depth audits of websites
  • Compose SEO proposals and strategies
  • Implement SEO strategies and deliverables  
  • Contribute effectively to meetings
  • Monitor and report on site health and performance against SEO KPIs
  • Monitor and analyse organic data to identify issues and opportunities, as well as assessing competitor activity
  • Be Chalk + Ward’s SEO champion ensuring the team and our clients understand how SEO activity is performing as well as continually educating on SEO best practice
  • Lead internal training sessions and be comfortable presenting findings and recommendations internally and to clients
  • Undertake keyword research and develop content strategies
  • Keep up to date on SEO industry updates, guidelines, and technologies to maintain best practice across all activities (Google Algorithm)
  • Finance admin – including estimates, POs, invoices, and forecasts

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Mi 2-3 years of SEO management experience under their belt and a strong understanding of the SEO industry
  • Knowledge of SEO best practice
  • Be commercially minded
  • Ability to multi-task clients and deadlines
  • Experience in providing exceptional client/customer servicing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of budgets and forecasts
  • Computer literate (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to lead client meetings
  • Full driving licence
  • Genuine desire to be a part of our team
  • Willingness to travel to the agency a minimum of 3 times per week + attend client meetings at their premises (where required)
  • Experience or understanding of the hospitality sector is beneficial but not essential

 

The following experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided:

  • Any reputable SEO Certification outside of Google Digital Garage
  • Knowledge of all search channels (voice/video/forums)
  • Experience working with affiliates or external linking channels
