What is your top tip for mental wellbeing?

Don’t wait until our tank is low to refuel. We are not a machine. Do something daily to refresh, recharge and rejuvenate ourselves. To have a clear head we need to be well emotionally, physically and spiritually; all of these are connected and related. We need to address our wellbeing holistically, authentically and truthfully, as we are all different and therefore our needs and methods will vary from one person to another.

How do you cope with work stress and pressure?

Take a step back. If we don’t love what we do, we will always see it as “work stress and pressure” no matter how easy or hard the task is. The best way to ‘cope with it’ is to engage ourselves with something we love to do, something we have a passion for or an interest in.

What steps do you take to ensure good mental wellbeing?

I set time aside to have some quiet time alone each day and engage myself and my mind with absolutely nothing – meditation is optional. I write my journal to channel and release my thoughts. I do yoga to align and connect my mind, my body with my spirit. I sit, observe and pay attention to my thoughts and the reasons behind my thoughts. I find time and space to address any negative emotions. I maintain my physical health by having a balanced diet with exercise.
