When setting up in business or launching a new idea, your image and how it is presented on a professional level is vital, yet so often undervalued.
With our ‘Start-up Branding Package’ you can have a powerful brand and basic marketing tools at a fraction of the cost.
Your business can access all our strategic and design skills honed over many years helping businesses from start-ups to multi-million pound internationals. Our brand team will provide a basic yet properly thought-through package, designed by experts, which will include a set of marketing tools to get you up and running impressively.
Our strategic branding experts will take a detailed brief via phone and email. We’ll gain a feel for the business, what service or product you are selling and importantly who to. We’ll gain a feel for how you want the business to be projected and perceived by your audiences, and will provide prompts to help with this – we are strong believers that a good brief makes strong design. The brief will be passed to you for sign-off prior to work commencing.
Furnished with the information, our designers will create 3 or 4 logo designs but here’s the important bit – they’ll all be strategically right for your brand, your business and your market-place. They will be sent to you together with the thinking behind each design, then it’s purely down to your preference as to which one you like most, confident in the knowledge each would work in your market.
If required, we will also provide a strapline for the business within The Package. We can also provide a brand naming service, to include online URL availability and initial legal IP checking service, priced separately.
The chosen identity will then be worked up to final artwork, signed off by you and a document called a Brand Guidelines produced. This provides the explanation of how the logo should (and shouldn’t) be used, together with the exact specified colours and fonts etc.
This important document will help whoever you use for brochure production, signage, exhibition design and the likes, to maintain consistency of logo reproduction. It will be sent to you with all usable formats of the artwork AND, on payment of invoices, full intellectual property, so the logo is yours, with full IP rights.
We will design you a professional letterhead, business card (up to three names) and compliment slip, then artwork ready for print. We can help with print if required too, costed separately once the specifications are known – we have strong print-buying power, so obtain good prices.
We will design, build and set-up a basic 6 page, Search Engine Optimised (SEO) website within the Package. Normally this will include a Homepage, About Us, FAQ (frequently asked questions) simple blog or news page, contact us page with contact form (linked to email) or newsletter subscriber form (Mailchimp), plus two pages of product/service information.
The website will not include more complex functionality such as e-commerce, member log-ins, etc. Google Analytics will be installed but not goal conversion tracking. All these additional elements and functionality can be provided at additional cost to the basic package. Elements to consider would be purchase of the domain name, images and video for the site which again we can help with outside of the Package.
The site will have a WordPress Content Management System (CMS) which will allow pages to be added and changes made by yourselves. Our package includes for an hour’s training over the phone on how to use the system. Face-to-face can be accommodated – costed separately.
The first year’s hosting on our secure server will be included within the Package.
The Package also includes setting up two social media platforms, designed and branded professionally with links created from the website. We can also provide training on social media if required, outside of the Package.
To ensure your access to this level of skilled specialists, within a top brand agency, at this price, we do have to ensure efficiency and clarity from the out-set, hence the below T&Cs.
Due to the price and offer within this package, it is only available to start-up businesses. Where required, The Client will be asked to provide evidence of the fact.
The Start-up Branding Package (The Package) is priced on the basis all work is carried out via phone or email. Face-to face meetings can be arranged on request and will be charged for as an extra if required.
A dedicated team will be allocated and will be the main point of contact/project manage the process. Chalk + Ward (The Agency) are a leading brand specialist agency, established 1998, with offices in London and Exeter. Our professionalism and client servicing are exemplary and we will ensure the smooth running of The Package.
It will be The Client’s responsibility to ensure the brand name is available, free from legal restrictions and approved for use prior to commencement of The Package. If the naming service offered by the Agency is used, The Agency will provide costs for such legal undertakings.
Once the brief is signed-off by The Client, it is agreed that the initial 3 or 4 designs will be strategically right for the business. A single round of tweaks to the preferred design will be included within The Package. Any further, new designs or larger changes requested by The Client will be charged as extras.
Start-up Branding Package – cost £7000 +VAT, paid 50% in advance, 25% on completion of website design and 25% on completion of The Package. All extra items will be estimated and approved prior to commencement of such items. Payment terms – 30 days from invoice for all invoices other than the advance payment. For late payment, The Agency reserve the right to charge interest at 4.5% per month.
Once final payment is received, The Agency will assign all intellectual property rights for the work carried out in The Package to The Client, subject to provision for third party rights such as photographer’s copyrights.
The package includes first year’s hosting. Thereafter, this will be charged at the standard fee of £360 per year for a basic site.
Website content will be supplied by the Client and be deemed to be legal, correct and not misleading. Agency will proof-read and copy-edit where required within The Package. If copy-writing is required as a service, this will be costed separately.
Two social platforms will be set-up by the Agency. Client to populate with content and handle ongoing management.
