Establishing a global player in the home interiors market
Client: Hunter Stoves
With over 50 years of heritage, Hunter Stoves are the longest-serving wood burning stove manufacturer in the UK
We were first approached to consult on a marketing and branding brief based on the group’s different product ranges. After years of growth through acquisition, the client had a confused brand hierarchy which required strategic input and clarity to move forwards.
Building a brand
Without an in-house marketing department, we were tasked to capitalise on a period of sustained growth and drive business development across the client’s network of distributors and retailers. Armed with a brief and clear commercial goals, we began by running our Core Values branding exercise, a proprietary workshop that helps define what a brand stands for and its market proposition.
Improving brand architecture
Now with a clear understanding of the brand, we were then able to consider Hunter Stoves’ brand architecture and shaping their product brand matrix.
Our new brand architecture provided much needed clarity, both internally and externally, to the Hunter Stoves Group’s popular product ranges, creating an umbrella brand with well-defined sub-brands that sat beneath it.
We rebranded their key commercial product lines to develop impactful and unique brand identities for the Di Lusso, Cleanburn, Parkray, Avalon and Jetmaster ranges.
The rebrand was also implemented across point of sale materials, marketing collateral, merchandising, exhibition stands and signage.
Print and marketing collateral
As part of the rebrand, we also produced a series of new lifestyle and product brochures for the sub-brands. All of which were well received with retailers and customers alike.
Beautiful brochures don’t come cheap, particularly when creating a lifestyle piece – it requires investment in time and budget to get them over the line. Our skilled team of creatives and account handlers are fully immersed in every brochure from designing the concepts and art directing photography shoots, right the way through to final proofing and supplying artwork for print. We make the process simple!
International market research and customer insight
Clarifying the brand paid dividends and returned considerable growth which contributed to their most successful year. This growth enabled them to expand internationally.
Choosing which countries to target required a deep understanding of market conditions and audiences. We partnered our sister agencies in Taan to commission country specific research in order to gain invaluable insight into local markets and the likelihood of international success.

From here, we then worked with Hunter Stoves to develop bespoke marketing strategies to capitalise on these new ventures.
